Job Summary:


Under the supervision of the BreastCheck Operations Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for performing a variety of clerical tasks, supportive functions for clients, staff and the department in an efficient and effective manner.


Qualifications:


Required:


  • Graduate of a Medical Office Assistant Program. A combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the Internet.
  • Experience in a healthcare clinical environment, involving interaction with patients and the public.
  • Experience organizing and managing patient data using electronic clinical systems.
  • Exceptional organizational and problemsolving skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills (oral and written) must have English 40s or equivalent.
  • Must have exceptional customer service skills, with the ability to adapt to stressful situations in a highpace environment.
  • Ability to work independently, as well as a positive member of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Works with a high level of confidentiality.
  • Must hold a satisfactory employment record.
  • Must be able to legally work in Canada

Will be assessed during the testing process:

  • Typing speed 10,000 keystrokes per hour (45 WPM), with less than 1% error rate

Preferred:


Assets:


  • Knowledge of Population Health and Screening Programs.
  • Experience working in Screening Programs.
  • Experience organizing patient data using Radiology Information System (RIS) and Picture. Archival Communication System (PACS).
  • Experience using Maxon BSP and PenRad.
  • Ability to speak French
