Job Summary



Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate all external compliance audit activities, ensuring thorough preparation, successful execution, and effective followup on findings, with a focus on SOC2 and ISO27001 standards.
  • Manage and successfully navigate multiple complex audits annually, demonstrating strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain compliance processes and controls in alignment with SOC2 and ISO27001 frameworks, adapting to the unique needs of SaaS solutions provided to government agencies.
  • Direct and mentor a dedicated compliance team, fostering a collaborative environment that encourages continuous learning and improvement.
  • Serve as the primary advocate for compliance within the organization, ensuring that all team members understand their role in maintaining compliance standards.
  • Employ advanced Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) tools to monitor compliance status, identify potential risks, and implement corrective actions proactively.
  • Regularly review and update compliance policies and processes, ensuring they remain current with evolving regulations and business objectives.
  • Conduct comprehensive risk assessments, develop risk management strategies, and ensure that all organizational activities align with established risk appetites and compliance requirements.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of the Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) certification requirements, ensuring that all SaaS solutions provided to government agencies comply with relevant standards and regulations.
**Salary: $95,000 to $120,000/yr

Requirements:


  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; a Master's degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CCEP, CGEIT) is preferred.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a compliance role within the technology or SaaS industry, with at least 5 years in a leadership position managing external audits and compliance frameworks such as SOC2 and ISO2700
  • Specific experience working with municipal and state US government agencies, with a thorough understanding of the unique compliance challenges and requirements in this sector.
  • Familiarity with the Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) certification process and requirements, and experience ensuring compliance with these standards in a SaaS context.
  • Proven track record of leading and mentoring a compliance team, with strong leadership and teambuilding skills.
  • Expertise in utilizing advanced GRC tools and technologies to streamline compliance monitoring and risk management processes.
  • Demonstrated ability in crafting, revising, and implementing compliance policies and procedures to adapt to changing regulations and organizational objectives.
