Job Overview

Summer Student – Labourer, Field

Location: Fort McMurray, AB

Reporting to: Foreman, Field Services

Shift: 5x2; Monday to Friday; 6:00am- 2:30pm

Responsibilities

•Track and manage inventory on consumables and usage.

•Arrange and organize materials for jobs.

•Maintain checklists for shop tasks.

•Experience in production and manufacturing environment.

• Show some skill with hand tools and assembly and/or fabrication skills.

•Duties may include moving machinery, tools and products to correct shop locations.

•Duties in the manufacturing process for general labor tasks.

•Deburring parts / prep for paint work.

•Assist Journeymen welders, mechanics and machinists. Follow directions from peers and supervisors.

Qualifications

•Completion of high school diploma

•A minimum of two (2) years' experience in a manufacturing environment

•Qualified candidates will have strong work ethic and mechanical ability

•Able to lift up to 50lbs.

•Welding/ grinding skills an asset.

•Previous related experience an asset.

•Valid Driver's License and own transportation are required.

•OSSA, CSTS, Class C First Aid.

•Must have a strong safety focus.

•Progression to trades positions is possible with experience
