The person in this position works collaboratively as a key member of the Advancement Team on the development and implementation of major gift

fundraising strategy for St. George's School, including the setting of philanthropic priorities and goals, while researching, identifying, and soliciting potential donors. Building relationships with members of our community is essential to success in this position.

for community-building. Please note, this role is a full-time, in-person position.

Your Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree, or equivalent diploma, focusing on business, public relations, education, or another field related to fundraising.

2 to 5 years of related experience.

Superior interpersonal, engagement, and relationship building skills.

Knowledge of Raiser's Edge NXT or comparable databases. Superior ability to work with spreadsheets.

High level of judgement, integrity, and ethical standards.

Proficient in Google Suite and Adobe Suite.

Assist the Advancement Team with tasks as required.

Enthusiastic and outgoing personality; must be service-oriented, assertive, and able to network and interact with all key stakeholder groups.

Support the unique culture of an independent school with a passion for the education of young people.


Develop and maintain a portfolio of active major gift prospects and donors in support of the ONE+ Campaign, Annual Fund, and Endowment.

Develop major gift fundraising strategies relating to the School's Advancement programs.

Create goals and solicit funds to meet those goals using NXT.

Use spreadsheets to track pipeline progress.

Maintain up-to-date electronic database records relating to donor and prospect activity.

Link with members of the Leadership Team in relation to any major gift fundraising and promotional work.

Provide regular progress reports to the Director of Advancement and the Associate Director of Advancement.

Evaluate every gift, ensuring that it is in the best interest of the donor and the School.

Develop major gift opportunities by creating support materials and

writing proposals.

Write clearly and concisely.

Create donor stewardship materials.

Participate in team brainstorming and problem-solving sessions.

Assist team members in advancing the mission of the School.

Work as part of a team every day but also have the ability to manage work independently.

Occasionally attend evening and weekend events to support community-building goals.
