About the Role

If you're ready to take the next step in your Social Work career, we have an exciting opportunity for a Casework Supervisor. In this role, you will lead a team of professionals including Social Workers and Counsellors, providing clinical supervision and guidance in the areas of Child and Family Wellbeing.

Responsibilities

Provide clinical supervision on child protection matters, family services, and risk assessments
Supervise children in the care of the Minister and support foster/adoptive families
Offer counselling to clients and assist in complex cases

As a supervisor, you will motivate and develop your team while handling challenging situations with professionalism.

Qualifications and Skills

Requirements include a Bachelor or Master of Social Work, relevant experience, and registration with the Nova Scotia College of Social Workers. Previous supervisory experience is beneficial along with strong leadership and decision-making skills.

Demonstrated ability to assess risks and support social workers
Knowledge of social work practices, child development, and related legislation
Effective communication, crisis management, and organizational abilities

This role demands resilience, flexibility, and the capacity to work under pressure.
