Job Duties:
Package take-out food
Portion and wrap foods
Prepare, heat and finish simple food items
Stock refrigerators and salad bars Take customers' orders
Use manual and electrical appliances to clean, peel, slice and trim foodstuffs
Clean and sanitize kitchen including work surfaces
cupboards, storage areas, appliances and equipment after every shift
Handle and store cleaning products
Receive, unpack and store supplies in refrigerators, freezers, cupboards and other storage areas Remove kitchen garbage and trash
Sharpen kitchen knives Sweep, mop, wash and polish floors
Wash, peel and cut vegetables and fruit
- Cook menu items according to standardized recipes
- Clean up station and take care of leftover food
- Stock inventory appropriately
- Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
- Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers

Job Type:
Part-time
Part-time hours: 25-30 per week
Salary:
$17.00-$18.00 per hour
Flexible Language Requirement:
- French not required
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- On call
- Weekend availability
Supplemental pay types:
- Overtime pay
COVID-19 considerations:
Common surfaces are sanitized regularly. Masks are available to use. Hand sanitizers are available to use for employees and customers
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Brampton, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
Experience:
- Cooking: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Food Safe, SafeCheck, Food Handler or equivalent (required)
