Graduate program
The Corporate Coverage Rotational Program is an 18-month program designed for students completing an undergraduate or graduate degree.

You will develop both relationship management and credit skills associated with the Marketing / Origination functions of day-to-day Coverage Banker activities.

Since our business is global, Analysts may be asked to spend part of their time in this program in New York City, USA for training.


Upon completion of training, you'll be assigned to a business sector, where you will assist Senior Bankers (SB) & Marketing Associates, supporting their day-to-day activities, as well as doing client and sector research, performing financial statements and capital structure analysis, creating pitch books, and running modeling on initial credit assessments.


Throughout the 18-month rotational program, the analyst will spend some time within the corporate credit management teams ensuring they build the essential credit skills needed to become a successful Corporate Coverage Banker.

Our Global Banking division provides sophisticated and diversified expertise in financing, cash management and financial advisory services for our clients.

Corporate Coverage is at the heart of Corporate and Institutional Banking and is the foundation on which the BNP Paribas North American corporate relationship franchise is built.

Analysts work with bankers to own client relationships and better understand a client's needs, on full transaction origination cycle through researching client and industry-wide financial information, performing financial statements and capital structure analysis of client, creating pitch books, and running modeling on initial credit assessments.

Corporate Coverage North America is responsible for advising U.S.

based corporate clients and delivering an array of the firm's services across strategically targeted client groups in various business sectors.


In detail

  • Develop strategic sector and/or client presentation materials, with SB guidance and own the pitch book process in close coordination with product teams
  • Keep Senior Bankers (SB) & Marketing Associates up to date on all developments (financial and otherwise) in the covered sector(s) and the portfolio
  • Maintain databases of client and industrywide financial information (including internal Customer Relationship Management (CRM) system)
  • Develop product understanding and expertise with product specialists
  • Contribute to the initial credit assessment to determine the opportunities worth pursuing
  • Prepare and facilitate the internal approval of capital allocation via the Resource Allocation Committee (RAC) process
  • Prepare and maintain annual client budget in coordination w/the SB, Corporate Platform, and various product areas
  • Develop sectorial expertise and serve as internal resource for BNP Paribas globally
  • Manage all client matters related to KYC, Due Diligence, Compliance, CSR
  • Work on ad hoc projects and deals as needed

ELIGIBILITY:

  • Has graduated less than a year ago or will graduate by June 2024 from an accredited postsecondary program (Bachelor's /Master's)
  • Has less than 1 year fulltime professional experience excluding relevant internship experience
  • Excellent academic achievement

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Effective verbal/written communication in English and interpersonal skills
  • Business degree with a focus on Finance or Accounting
  • Entrylevel experience in Commercial, Corporate or Investment Banking
  • Client relationship skills; ability to articulate ideas wellto clients and colleagues alike.
  • Modeling and valuation skills
  • Proactive, selfmotivated and has integrity
  • Organized; ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously in a challenging environment
  • Work transversally across the organization and maintain high standards of professionalism in all dealings with team members and external clients
  • Excellent Microsoft OS Skills (Word, Excel, Power Point)
  • Bloomberg, Cap IQ knowledge
