  • The District of West Vancouver is seeking a temporary, parttime (0.8) Assistant Program Coordinator (Youth Services) to join the Community Services Department.
Under the supervision of the Youth Services Program Coordinator this position will be responsible for:


  • Developing, promoting and providing oversight and facilitation of a wide range of leadership development, learning and certification programs preteens and youth;
  • Preparing for, supervising and participating in a variety of leadership, social and recreational activities and events for preteens and youth, in various program settings;
  • Mentoring, supporting, monitoring and evaluating youth volunteers;
  • Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with youth,
  • Acting as a positive role model and assisting in providing information to, and appropriate referrals for, youth;
  • Opening and closing youth dropin facilities, and enforcing rules and regulations in those spaces;
  • Providing general office administrative assistance to the Program Coordinator (Youth Services), and;
  • Performing other related duties as required.

Position Status:
Union (WVMEA) - Temporary, Part-Time


Hours of Work:
30 hours per week. Hours and days of work may vary.


Starting Rate of Pay:
$30.29 per hour.
