Lectures: Mondays & Wednesdays 9 am - 11 am, Tutorials: Tuesdays & Thursdays 9am - 11am and 1 pm - 3pm

Minimum qualifications:

Applicants should have a PhD or at minimum an MA in Japanese language education or a closely related field with substantial experience and proven excellence in teaching Japanese as a second/foreign language at the post-secondary level.

Fluency is expected in Japanese together with an excellent command of English.


Preferred qualifications:
Teaching experience at the university level preferred with evidence of superior teaching evaluations.


Description of duties:

Preparing lesson plans and lectures; delivering lectures; supervising TAs; developing and administering grading, course assignments, tests, and exams; responsible for leading tutorials; and providing scheduled office hours for academic counselling of students.
