Position Summary:


As the Gordon Food Service supplier of smallwares, United is a fast paced Specialty Company looking for a driven, entrepreneurial and analytical Credit Return/Inventory Control Clerk.

Reporting to the Inventory Control lead, completes daily inventory control tasks, including regular cycle counting, credits returns, vendor returns, and all other inventory control related activity.


Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Inventory related tasks such as replenishing product, putting away product using HiLo in reserve racks, replenishing stock to pick levels, documenting shrinks and damages, and verifying tihi.
  • Scanning product back into inventory that has been returned from customers
  • Physically returning the product back into PIR and PICK daily
  • Assists with the safe and costeffective operation of Inventory and all related activities and processes
  • Works closely with Purchasing, Sales, Customer service, Marketing and all other Warehouse departments
  • Occasionally lifting cases of products onto pallets. Cases range from 1 lb to 75 lbs where the average weight of a case weighs between 2530 lbs.
  • Adheres to the mission and cornerstone values and applicable practices of the organization
  • Assist with Projects as required
  • Excellent knowledge of the Warehouse Management System (WMS)
  • Ability to execute tasks in a large warehouse environment.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 13 years of warehouse experience in inventory control or credit return roles is preferred.
  • Must have excellent written, verbal, organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability and willingness to multitask, prioritize and be able to work independently and in a team environment.
  • Must be able to work flexible hours and occasionally, weekends during busy periods.
  • Required to have a high degree of concentration and alertness.
  • Must have exceptional problemsolving capabilities.
  • Must exhibit a degree of professionalism with a focus on developing strong relationships with both internal and external customers.
  • Must be in good physical condition and enjoy manual work.
  • Currently certified or capable of becoming certified on all necessary equipment.
