Main Responsibilities:
- Define the test strategy and scope for assigned projects implementing Quality Assurance best practices
- Manage relationship and lead a team of offshore vendors and onshore QA testers
- Work on QA resource allocation based on project need.
- Ensure the quality of software and adherence to requirements before release to customer
- Develop new approaches to solve problems identified during quality assurance activities.
- Peer review test plans and test cases verifying accuracy and sufficient coverage
- Identify, mitigate, and drive product issues and risks to resolution
- Capture relevant metrics documenting results of test effort and product stability
- Estimate and communicate Quality Assurance effort for assigned work
- Effectively collaborate with crossfunctional team members to define user stories, acceptance criteria, deliverables, and product risks
- Log accurate defect reports and enhancement requests and perform retest of defects as required
- Communicate test progress, test results and other relevant information to Project team and Management on a timely basis.
- Provide people and technical leadership to team members as needed
- Meet deadlines for assigned tasks and scheduled deliverables
- Recommend test tools to Management and project team as needed
- Demonstrate software, conduct User-Acceptance Testing and facilitate training activities
Qualifications:
- Solid understanding of Quality Assurance testing best practices and Software Development Life Cycle
- Proven leadership through influencing and consensusbuilding; demonstrated ability to work well in a crossfunctional team.
- Excellent test design and documentation skills
- Strong analytical/problem solving skills with excellent attention to detail and communication skills
- Ability to exercise independent judgment, multitask, and effectively prioritize tasks
- Vendor Management experience is a plus.
Profile:
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience in Information Technology field
- Industry recognized Quality Assurance certification a plus
- 3+ years of experience in leading offshore teams of 3 to 6+ people
- Experience testing any of the following platforms: Microsoft.
- Experience working in an Agile and/or Lean environment is a plus
- Experience with requirement, testing and defect management tools
- Experience leading offshore teams
Compensation and Benefits:
Job Type:
Full-Time, On-site (Hybrid option after 90 days, 2 days from home)
Pay Range: 80,000 to 100,000 dependent upon experience
