    Velocity Truck Rental & Leasing has an exciting opening for a Rental Account Manager at our Surrey branch. The Rental Account Manager will contribute in one of Canada's best managed companies. Be a part of a team that takes trucking to the next level of quality and professionalism.

    The Rental Account Manager is responsible for the sales and marketing of Velocity's commercial truck rental product line. The Rental Account Manager is also responsible for the day-to-day operation of the commercial truck rental fleet.

  • Duties and Responsibilities

  • Actively market the commercial truck rental product line of Velocity Truck Rental & Leasing.
  • Develop and execute an effective marketing plan designed to produce measurable results.
  • Call on at least 75 new prospects each week (50 in-person) and input the notes from each call in the CRM.
  • Submit a minimum of 2 FSL leads per month utilizing CRM.
  • Meet budget for rental operating profit in your AOR.
  • Manage the utilization, revenue, and expenses of the assigned rental fleet.
  • Complete daily yard checks.
  • Responsible for the management of the accounts receivable of their assigned customers.
  • Accountable for the cosmetic condition of all rental units.
  • Responsible for all insurance documents and ensuring rental units are adequately covered before leaving yard.
  • Contribute to team effort by completing supplemental projects as needed.
  • Required Qualifications

  • 2 to 5+ years of related sales experience preferred.
  • Must be detail oriented with ability to multi-task.
  • Must maintain a strong focus on quality, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Strong written and verbal skills.
  • Ability to work in a high volume fast-paced environment with a customer service focus.
  • Excellent organization, planning and time management skills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Must work well independently, as well as within a team environment.
  • Asset Qualifications

  • Post secondary education or training in a related discipline (marketing, sales, etc.).
  • Relevant mechanical trade qualifications or technical aptitude.
