- Postsecondary education or equivalent training and work experience
- Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designation, or working towards such designation an asset
- Minimum five years of experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Experience with insurance software
- Understanding of the mutual insurance system and its philosophy an asset
- Detailed knowledge of residential and farm risk evaluation, rating, coverages, and procedures
- Detailed knowledge of reinsurance procedures
- Detailed knowledge of building construction materials and techniques
- Ability to work individually as well as part of a team
- Communication skills, written and verbal
