    POSITION SUMMARY:

    The Strategy Management Consultant will play a lead role to support the development and implementation of the Strategy Deployment process, tools, training and activities to achieve organizational strategy.

    They will partner with senior leaders to achieve Lakeridge Health's vision, driving transformational thinking.

    This role is instrumental in informing the decisions of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT) in helping to align all areas of the organization to Lakeridge Health's strategic goals and priorities.

    The Strategy Management Consultant will also play a lead role in the execution of the corporate strategic priorities.


    DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Support the development and deployment of the organization's strategy to ensure the organization can drive a consistent Strategy Deployment approach.
    *Align Lakeridge Health priorities through appropriate levels of the organization using Strategy Deployment tools and processes.

    • Provide coaching and mentoring around Strategy Deployment process, tools, technologies and systems, focusing on enabling these skills in others throughout the organization.
    • Facilitate Working Sessions with programs/departments to support alignment to the organization's priorities.
    *Support the development of the organization's strategic plan and supporting program/department plans including research, data analysis, stakeholder engagement, environmental scans (SWOT analysis), and issues analysis.
    *Conduct secondary research and best practice reviews and link with external partners and experts to obtain information and tools to support project activities and inform decision-making.
    *Provide project management support to execute large, cross-functional strategic priorities. Coaches' leadership and project teams, enabling a continuous improvement culture that achieves long-term sustainable success through Strategy Deployment.
    *Work with Executive Leads and project teams to develop required monthly/quarterly project status updates, including variance analysis and recommended mitigation strategies/action plans.
    *Participate in the creation and delivery of presentations, briefing notes and planning documents to support the Senior Leadership Team.
    *Engage with members of the Decision Support team to develop key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure strategic and operational performance and improvement.
    *Monitor the external environment to identify collaboration, funding opportunities and co-ordinate preparation of submissions.
    *Communicate written and verbally on the status and achievements of strategic priorities.
    *Maintain excellent relationships with the Senior Leadership Team, Directors and Managers.


    QUALIFICATIONS:

    • Undergraduate, Master's degree or recognized equivalent in Health Care or Business Administration (preferred disciplines).
    *Project Management Professional (PMP) or equivalent.
    *3-5 year's recent strategy development and deployment experience in a health care environment
    *Previous experience (professional and/or educational) in quality and continuous improvement (i.e. Lean Green Belt, Six Sigma Green Belt or equivalent Quality Improvement Certificate).
    *Advanced understanding of strategic and program planning processes.
    *Demonstrated experience managing and executing complex strategic projects.
    *Demonstrated expertise and experience related to research, indicators/performance metric development, monitoring and evaluation.
    *Demonstrated ability to effectively train, coach and mentor teams and leaders.
    *Highly developed judgement skills combined with tact and diplomacy.
    *Proven ability to foster and maintain effective working relationships and to deal effectively with a wide range of diverse, interested and involved stakeholders.
    *Highly collaborative, teamwork oriented work style with ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
    *Excellent communications and presentation skills. Must be able to communicate effectively and succinctly in writing and verbally with all levels of the organization as well as external stakeholders and across multiple mediums.
    *Demonstrated ability to organize and prioritize work.
    *High proficiency with the MS Office suite to include MS Word, MS Excel, MS Project and MS PowerPoint.
