British Columbia's northern school districts are seeking an experienced Northern Recruitment Specialist to lead a provincial pilot project supporting the recruitment and retention of teachers in BC's northern communities.


This variety-filled role is ideally suited for an experienced HR professional passionate about supporting public education and inspired by living and working in BC's rural and remote communities.


At the same time, you will also work with districts' leadership teams, the Ministry of Education and Child Care and the Northern BC Recruitment Working Group to ensure that the goals and objectives of the pilot project are achieved.

We are seeking an experienced talent acquisition specialist/educational leader with experience recruiting in a rural and remote context.

In addition to excellent presentation and communication skills, the Northern Recruitment Specialist should also be able to exercise diplomacy and independent judgement on various staffing issues while working with labour relations/human resources practitioners.

Work experience in the K-12 public education sector and knowledge of the Canadian work permit process are assets.

This is a Ministry-funded role for a term of one year with the possibility of extension.
