    The Senior Payroll Specialist for Cytiva is responsible for a wide variety of record keeping and payroll processing activities.

    This position is part of the North American Human Resources team and will be fully remote in Canada. At Cytiva, our vision is, to advance future therapeutics from discovery to delivery.

    What you'll do:

    • Administer bi-weekly payroll including off-cycle payroll, which includes reviewing and preparing all time and attendance entries for accuracy
    • Process employee changes on a timely basis, including new hires, wage increases, TD1 changes, position changes, terminations of employment; prepare onboarding and termination packages and Records of Employment (ROE) when required
    • Coordinate group benefits plan, company retirement plan and RRSP plan, to include setting up new members, ensuring all eligible employees are enrolled on time, processing benefit changes, calculating payroll deductions/taxable benefits, billing verification, reconciliation, remittances and manage benefits renewal process
    • Establish, maintain, and organize employee records, ensuring all data is coordinated accurately, on time, and in compliance with privacy legislation and respond to inquiries related to payroll during year-end financial audits
    • Calculate and remit employer health tax (EHT) quarterly and file year-end report, remit WCB quarterly and annual report, administer year end requirements, including T4, T5, and T2200 forms, and respond to Canada Revenue Agency and Service Canada requests

    Who you are:

    • Minimum five years' experience working in computerized payroll systems
    • Knowledgeable and experienced payroll processing end-to-end
    • Detailed knowledge of current payroll practices, legislation, rules, and regulations for multi provinces and territories
    • Advanced Microsoft Suite skills, specifically Excel

    It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

    • Experience with ADP (WorkforceNow) and Workday
    • Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP) Certification preferred
    • Excellent customer service skills with demonstrable ability to care for associates at all levels of an organization
    • Outstanding organizational and time management skills to maintain deadlines
    • Canadian payroll tax knowledge of federal and provincial/territorial income taxes

    The salary range for this role is $75,000 - $95,000 CAD. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future.

    This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
