As part of our continued growth, we are currently looking for an experienced Telecommunications Technician who will provide service and support to our Customers in the Vancouver and surrounding area.


RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Provide implementation services for new systems. This includes configuration, integrations, onsite implementation, and end user training.
  • Ensure projects are completed within the hours and timeframe allotted.
  • Work closely with assigned Project Manager ensuring all technical tasks are completed and documented.
  • Provide Tier 2 remote support to Unity's technicians and contractors for service and Move, Add, Change (MAC) work orders as required.
  • Complete all MAC and Service work orders assigned to you by Dispatch.
  • Update and complete all work order detail within Unity's ticketing system in real time.
  • On-Call and overtime is required on a regular basis.
  • Travel to sites will be required.

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Certification on Avaya (IP Office), Mitel (Business), NEC (SV9100).
  • Panasonic (TDE/NS100) and Status (Sara) knowledge preferred.
  • Solid understanding of VOIP technology including SIP.
years field experience in service and implementation.

  • Call Centre experience preferred.
  • 23 years of LAN and WAN knowledge and support.
  • Basic understanding of different firewall technologies including Cisco, Palo Alto, and Fortigate would be considered an asset.
  • Data certification(s) and knowledge will be considered an asset.
  • College degree or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Works well under pressure with minimum supervision.
  • Energetic and selfmotivated with a passion for customer service.
  • Works well and cooperates with team members.
  • Demonstrates prudent judgment when required.
  • Basic knowledge of Office 365 (Teams, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Visio).
  • Ability to work various shifts as needed for coverage.
  • Posses a style that embodies a sense of urgency.
  • Have a valid Drivers license with a clean Drivers Abstract.
  • A background check is required.

Salary:
$50,000.00-$80,000.00 per year
