Research Assistant for HRI Fellowship and CERCD awarded research project, entitled

_ Problematizing child sponsorship:
Shifting from deficiencies in the Global South to decolonization in the Global North_.


Duties Include:

  • Conducting literature reviews and information syntheses;
  • Assisting with conducting Zoom interviews;
  • Editing AIgenerated Zoom interviews;
  • Assisting researcher with analyzing transcripts; producing educational materials, in the form of online/print and video
Position Requirements


The successful applicant will:

  • Be a current PhD level student, preferably within the Department of Politics and International Studies or the Faculty of Education, at the University of Regina
  • Experience and interest in at least one of the following: Child sponsorship, international development, global citizenship education, decolonial/postcolonial theories, critical and ethical relationality.
  • Experience with qualitative research approaches to data collection and analysis
  • Has beginner/intermediate level Spanish (speaking/writing)
  • Experience with video editing and podcast creation a strong asset
  • Have strong academic reading and writing skills
  • Have proficiency and expertise in American Psychological Association (APA) format
