POSITION:
CNC Machinist

Perth Precision Machining & Manufacturing is looking for skilled, motivated individuals to join our team on day shift, immediately.

Fast paced CNC machine shop environment, custom and production of various precision components.


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for setup and operation of Doosan CNC Machining Centers.
  • Perform quality checks as required. Clean & verify dimensions of parts machined using precision measuring instruments as needed.
  • Practice general housekeeping, including but not limited to, his/her work area, chip removal, floor areas, benches storage areas to ensure a safe work environment
  • Assist in problem solving and continuous improvement activities for areas of productivity and reduction of scrap
  • Complies with all company rules, policies and procedures
  • Follow established safety practices and regulations
  • Must have own measuring tools and other tools required for setups

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum of 23 years related work experience ON VMC's preferred.
  • Strong math skills
  • Proficient in the use of various measuring devices including caliper, digital indicator, micrometer, height gauge, bore gauge
  • Ability to read blueprints, drawings, charts, tables, quality documentation and various symbols regarding tolerances, surface finishes etc.
  • Ability to effectively communicate on both oral and written forms
  • Motivated and able to work independently with mínimal supervision or no supervision
  • Strong analytical skills and a high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Positive attitude towards new ideas
  • Committed to continuous improvement

Job Types:
Full-time, 40 hours per week.


Experience:


  • CNC milling and programming: 2 years (preferred)
  • Custom machining: 2 years (preferred)
  • CNC Machinist: 2 years (preferred)

Education:


  • AEC / DEP or Skilled Trade Certificate (preferred)

Licence:

  • Red Seal (preferred)
Salary dependent on experience and TBD, Benefits after 3 months of employment.


Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$24.00-$31.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
