    Current Opportunity – Technical Specialist, Project Management

    If you're a driven and talented individual with a passion for project management, we want you on our team We're currently seeking a Technical Specialist, Project Management, to provide project management services that support routine to moderately complex infrastructure and environmental projects. As the ideal candidate, you'll be responsible for :

  • Research, prepare and present documentation related to long-term projects, approvals, project charters, budgets, policies and procedures
  • Complete project management from initiation to closure for infrastructure and environmental projects
  • Support Client-Partner project approval processes by facilitating decision making within Client-Partner organizations through the development of business case analysis, functional space programming and other documentation
  • Coordinate stakeholder communications to ensure timely decision making
  • Participate in procurement planning and prepare tender documents Coordinate activities of consultants
  • Act as the representative of the project director or project manager, as required and within DCC delegated signing authority
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships within DCC, and with industry, the Client-Partners and/or stakeholders
  • Ensure quality standards are met, in line with corporate and Client-Partner expectations
  • Prepare monthly reportsSupport and/or lead business development activities
  • Manage risk
  • You will get to showcase your expertise in supporting routine infrastructure and environmental projects. Here are the qualifications we're looking for :

  • A college diploma in engineering, architecture or related field with approximately four years' relevant experience, or the equivalent
  • A university degree in one of the above fields and/or additional training or experience in project management is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of best practices, methods, trends and legislation in real property, environmental and construction service
  • Familiarity with client-partner project management policies and procedures
  • Understanding of Treasury Board Secretariat policies and procedures
  • Knowledge of project, contract and risk management principles
  • Ability to use applicable computer software and operating systems
