Vice President of Product

This newly created role will develop the long term product strategy for Smile Digital Health, providing thought leadership and designing holistic and long-term plans for all products.

This includes product research, market intelligence, customer journey engagement, strategic product planning, prioritization and product execution oversight.


Responsibilities:


  • Lead strategic product planning to drive Smile's overall product strategy, road
- mapping, and product execution across the organization.

This includes thinking about all aspects of Smile's products:

pricing, marketing, competitive research, market intelligence, customer journeys and use cases, and developing strategic partnerships with other businesses, etc.


  • Think strategically and articulate the product strategy. Be able to lay out a compelling product strategy that includes a strong understanding of
- (i) who the customers really are,
- (ii) what it means to win in the target markets,
- (iii) how to differentiate as a product and company,
- (iv) how to build and sell compelling and remarkable products for our customers.

  • Support the positioning of Smile products for success. This role will invest in planning where to take Smile's products tomorrow, to guide future product direction. This requires developing plans for a product's lifecycle, keeping an eye on the market for potential changes that could represent new opportunities, threats, or needs to alter the product in some way.
  • Identify, prioritize, structure, and manage complex issues that drive product priorities and demonstrate bottom line results including long term pricing and commercialization strategies.
  • Set product vision and road map. Work with the executive team and key leaders in the company to ensure a robust product vision and road map is set and adhered to.
  • Product research and analysis. This role will develop and lead the market intelligence and competitive research function for the organization, to identify and prioritize market opportunities, guiding Smile's overall product plans. Drive the strategic product direction based on intelligence and research by collaborating with multiple functions such as revenue operations, sales, marketing, corporate marketing, partner marketing, etc.
  • Create and empower a professional product management discipline aligning the strategy with the organizational vision.
  • Represent product strategy and management at the executive level. Act as the central hub to communicate with, integrating feedback from, and push back on product design, engineering, sales, marketing, operations, customer support, and other functions. This requires the ability to build deep relationships across the organization and be able to work with many different functions effectively.

Requirements:


  • At least 15 years of product leadership experience overseeing all aspects of product operations, research, strategy/vision and execution.
  • Experience building trusted relationships with executive sponsors and end users.
  • Experience supporting an Integrated GTM motions that includes sales, channel and services partners, strategic alliances and technology ecosystems.
  • A postsecondary degree in computer science, marketing, business, or related area.
  • Proven track record in building, getting buyin and executing product strategy plans, and staying focused on "getting it done" in a fastmoving, technical environment.
  • Ability to work effectively with limited direction, usually within a complex and often ambiguous environment, to drive rigorous, factbased recommendations to executives, functional, or regional management.
  • Must be able to effectively develop, coach, manage and lead teams to structure and solve problems, collaborating and coordinating with a range of internal key parties,
  • Exceptional team management skills.
  • Extensive industry knowledge with an eye towards the future.
  • Must have held positions of increasing responsibility within a technology or information services department such as manager, director, vicepresident.
  • Strong analytical, strategic planning and communication skills, including an ability to work well with the executive, board members and other senior managers.
