Our client is seeking the services of a delivery partner to be integrated with the Owner's Team (including Owner's Engineers) to form the Project Delivery Group on a project located in Guinea, West Africa.

The role will be rotational with a work schedule of 6 weeks on and 2 weeks off. Premiums on top of gross base salary.


How will you contribute to the team?

  • Responsible for the complete procurement process for designated packages of materials, equipment and/or subcontracts required for the construction and of the project.
  • Source suppliers and subcontractors, ensuring that the selected company is prequalified to provide the equipment, works or services required, and to the owner's satisfaction.
  • Work with the Project engineering consultants to ensure their technical and commercial deliverables meet Project requirements.
  • Issue RFP's in accordance with the Project's procurement procedures.
  • Analyze bids in conjunction with stakeholders and provide recommendation reports to project management.
  • Draft letters of intent and award from the bid analysis.
  • Draft contracts based on standard terms and conditions and lead contract negotiations to conclusion, for approval by senior management.
  • Expedite deliverables and deliveries of materials / equipment, and ensure compliance with quality requirements.
  • Change Management; evaluate entitlement, negotiate change orders to ensure best value for project.
  • Drafting of post contract correspondence with relation to delay and claims.
  • Preparation of monthly subcontractor progress payments and liaising with AP to ensure timely payment.
  • Maintain works records and produce reports as required.
  • Execute any other standard tasks to be done by a Contract Administrator such as but not limited to chairing meetings, drafting the Minutes and issuing signed Minutes
  • Assist Project Controls with accruals, end life forecasting and cashflow forecasting.
  • Participate in preparation of bids for the Business Unit, including estimating and analysis of bid documents.
  • Other duties that may be delegated or required from time to time at the direction of the Procurement and Contracts Manager for In-Country (Guinea) activities.

What will you contribute?

  • Seven to ten years of practical experience in a similar role is required.
  • Experience working within a civil, electrical instrumentation and mechanical engineering environment and knowledge of the construction processes by which the works will be undertaken would be a great advantage.
  • Experience preparing and issuing procurement and contracts documentation is required.
  • Exceptional English communication skills, both verbal and written are required.
  • Able to work under pressure and multitask.
  • A dedicated team player with exceptional interpersonal skills
  • Computer literate In Microsoft Office.
  • Strong attention to detail.
