The Opportunity:


The role of
Health Care Aide role will be serving the community in
Points West Living Drayton Valley, located in
Drayton Valley, Alberta.

The Health Care Aide is responsible for ensuring top resident care is priority, with a high level of focus in time management and hospitality.


_ 1 Part Time Evening Position (FTE 0.64)_

_ 2 Part Time Nights Positions (FTE 0.64)_

Skills and key deliverables that will take you further:

  • Supports the Resident's lifestyle in a community environment in accordance with the Resident's individualized Care Plan
  • Coordinate various business activities within the vision, objectives, and philosophy of Connecting Care
  • Provides medication assistance to the Residents, according to current Well-Being Strategies
  • Knowledge of supportive living services, assessment, and care planning
  • Maintain ongoing compliance with applicable provincial and federal regulatory standards
  • Assists the Resident with personal care as authorized by the Homecare Nurse
  • Builds rapport with Residents, family members, internal and external care partners to ensure the vibrancy of our community
  • Maintains an excellent level of confidentiality and professionalism
  • Taking initiative with accident and injury prevention and adherence to health and safety work practices within the community
  • Passionate commitment to Person Directed Care approaches
  • Flexibility and willingness to prioritize and adjust routines
  • Strong organizational, communication, and time and resource management skills
  • Excellent problem solving, conflict resolution skills and ability to deal effectively with crisis situations
  • Participates in ongoing educational programs and monitoring for continuous quality improvement
  • Complete general housekeeping duties, laundry and dining room duties as directed

Foundational knowledge and experience to grow from:

  • Grade 12 Diploma or recognized equivalent is required
  • Graduate of a recognized Health Care Aide program
  • Valid Certification in First Aid and CPR
  • Clear Security Check is a requirement of employment
