About your next Challenge
as a CF-18 Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Technician**:
Inspect CF-18 structures and components according to pre-established inspection procedures using various NDT testing methods:

Liquid Penetrant;
Eddy Current;
Magnetic Particle;
X-Ray; and
Ultrasound.

What You Will Do:

Document nonconformities according to established procedures;
Draft and complete inspection reports and Work Orders accurately;
Maintain a high standard of workmanship and discipline as detailed in CFTOs;
Conduct scheduled and unscheduled aircraft NDT inspections and report results to Supervisor;
Conduct NDT inspections for nonair purposes as detailed by Supervisor;
Act as a team member, providing assistance to other crew members as required;
Perform regular inspection and maintenance of shop equipment, ensuring serviceability;
Observe and adhere to all safety regulations in the performance of duties, ensuring absolute compliance of radiation safety policies and procedures;
Maintain shop cleanliness, in compliance with safety regulations;
Assist in initiating technical and administrative reports as required;
Forward supply requirements to section supply coordinator in a timely fashion, ensuring stock levels are maintained;
Be conversant with CFTOs and other technical information pertaining to NDT inspection procedures;
Maintain necessary NDT qualifications.

Required Skills and Experiences:

College diploma in aeronautics or equivalent;
Minimum 6 years' experience on the CF18 aircraft;
Very good knowledge of CF18 structure and drawings;
CGSB (Canadian Government Specification Board) certification.

Eligibility Criteria:

Must be eligible for registration with the Controlled Goods Program;
Must be eligible to obtain and maintain a government of Canada
"Reliability" status and/or
Level 2 (Secret) security clearance;
For onsite positions, our location not accessible by public transport, car/carpooling required
