As a member of UHN's People and Culture team, the HRIS/Business Analyst oversees both the data and the programmatic upkeep of the current HRIS platform (VIP).
In this role, you will serve as a technical lead and will be responsible for reporting, KPIs, system upgrades, patches, testing and other projects as assigned.
About you
We want someone who loves data.
You ideally have experience working with data in a hospital environment, and experience collaborating with internal teams such as Payroll, Digital, Benefits and Compensation.
You should be able to find meaning in data so that the derived knowledge can be used to make informed decisions and assist the organization in making better business decisions.
Primary Responsibilities:
- As a member of the HRIS Team, the Business/HRIS Analyst will be responsible for the creation, execution and maintenance of KPI and reports.
- Benchmarking of best practices in HR, quality improvement measures, and special projects will be key components of this role.
- Responsibilities will include, developing the HR dashboard and performance metrics that are aligned with UHN's Balanced Scorecard, as well as liaising with the Management Decision Support Team within Shared Information Management Services (SIMS).
- System Administration including but not limited to user management, security role management, audits and troubleshooting.
- Writing scripts in SQL, DAX (Power BI).
- Work on special projects includes Employee Opinion Survey, UHN's risk assessment of HR priorities, Human Resources Dashboard Indicators, training analysis, person power planning, etc.
- Conduct various analysis to support hoc requests.
- Ensure accuracy, completeness and timeliness of reporting through rigorous testing.
- Adhere to audit and data verification processes for all financial and compensation reporting to ensure information is correct and maintained properly.
- Simplify complex information and communicate findings to key stakeholders
Qualifications:
years experience in a Healthcare or Human Resources decision support environment.
- Handson knowledge of HR systems (VIP, SumTotal) and practices would be a valuable asset.
- Experience with project planning methodology.
- Experience designing and developing standard and ad hoc reports for both internal and external purposes.
- Advanced use of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Project.
- Experience with SQL, Power BI and Crystal Report writing would be an asset.
- Strong written and verbal communication, including presentation skills.
- Excellent analytical and problemsolving skills.
- Excellent organizational, time management and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to take initiative, embrace challenges and develop creative solutions.
- Ability to work independently and as a team member.
- Ability to work accurately while meeting tight deadlines within a fastpaced environment with changing priorities.
- Adheres to confidentiality policy for sensitive financial and employee information.
- Vaccines (COVID19 and others) are a requirement of the job unless you have an exemption on a medical ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code.
