Construction Site Manager - Toronto, Canada - Lamego Constructions

Description

The Site Supervisor will work together with the general manager, office project manager(s), and site workers to provide leadership and project management at the site level to ensure company projects are operating smoothly and to maximize production at a high-quality standard.

• Coordinate all material ordering, and confirm delivery schedules, including the inspection and verification of quantities delivered to the project
• Provide material takeoffs to confirm accuracy of deliveries and compliance with municipal/regional authorities
• Review all contract drawings for discrepancies and coordinate required changes with the field, the project manager, and general manager.
• Coordinate site inspections with municipalities, consultants, subcontractors and owners, as required.
• Effectively manage all rental and inhouse equipment to ensure maximum utilization
• Maintain office reporting requirements (ex. daily reports, timecards, quality inspections, etc.)
• Schedule and ensure projects have proper layout and survey requirements
• Ensure the correct allocation of manpower and equipment to minimize the cost on and maximize production on all jobs
• Administer all health and safety policies as required.
• Ensure and enforce compliance to all company, client and legislated safety policies and procedures
• Any additional duties and responsibilities as may be assigned from time to time

• Ability to operator GPS system for general layout when required.

• 2+ years experience as a Site Supervisor or similar role working on heavy civil projects
• Knowledge of heavy civil works, sewer and watermain principles and knowledge of GTA and/or provincial and municipal standards
• Ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy
• Ability to work with minimum supervision

• On site hours: Monday to Friday 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.
• Occasional Saturdays when required.
