Reports To:
Production Manager or Shift Supervisor
Position Summary
The Packaging Assistant assists lead technicians, production manager and colleagues in performing production related activities.

Job Duties
- Promote & maintain the highest level of cleanliness and sterility inside the production area and facility by routinely cleaning and sterilizing equipment, including glassware and tools, components and infrastructure
- Maintain batch production records in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPS)
- Ensure compliance with SOPs as they relate to daily work activities compliance with regulations to the Cannabis Act (Canada)
- Comply with established safe work practices and all company SOPs
- Maintain a positive, collaborative attitude
- Promote and encourage teamwork and open communication
- Communicate production updates and issues to Management on a timely basis
- Communicate complex issues to Management for immediate resolution
- Show respect and care for tools, technical equipment, and production facility
- Work cohesively in a group or independently as required
- Other duties as may be assigned from time to time
Qualifications
- High school diploma
- Clean criminal record
- Must be fluent in both spoken and written English
Working Conditions
- Shift work will be required, which could include evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Working in a cannabis facility may trigger those with allergies, asthma, or sensitivities to odour
- PPE Required: Scrubs, gloves, hairnets, and indoor shoes
Physical Requirements
- Standing and walking for long periods of time
- Frequent stooping, bending, kneeling and reaching
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks while maintaining a high level of attention to detail
- The ability to lift approximately 20 pounds
- The ability to respond quickly to sounds
- The ability to move safely over uneven terrain or in confined spaces
- The ability to see and respond to dangerous situations
