We are the leading distributor for the entertainment industry, responsible for the Sales, Retail Marketing, and Supply Chain of home entertainment products for both Studios.


We manage a wide range of famous film labels, including Universal Pictures, Warner Bros., Legendary Entertainment, Focus Features, HBO, DreamWorks Animation, MGM, Illumination Entertainment and also managing distribution for other partners including Paramount, Village Roadshow, BBC, Cartoon Network, Entertainment One, Shout Factory, Pure Flix, and Steven Spielberg's Amblin Partners.

SDS oversees new release and library content, for both film and television.

Role Summary:


Retail Planning Analyst / Coordinator is responsible for the tactical forecasting and reporting processes, delivering actionable insights and tactical execution that facilitate sales and demand fulfillment across retail.

This role will work closely with the Retail Planning, Sales, and Supply Chain professionals to achieve account specific goals across new release and library content.

As the coordinator for the Toronto office, this role also oversees office communications and supports essential operations to ensure efficient workflow.

The salary range for this role is $60,000 - $70,000._


Job description

Essential Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Partner with the Sales team to deliver and execute the annual plan:
  • Build tactical plans using all available resources slate, trends, strategies, etc.
  • Develop SKU level demand forecasts to optimize baseline and promotional inventory efficiency
  • Provide insights and recommended actions to optimize efficiency
  • Provide regular performance reporting and analytical insights that are actionable, accurate, timely and presented in a professional and practical manner
  • Develop promotional ROI evaluations and recommendations
  • Promotional reporting and analysis (titles, format, etc.)
  • Post mortem reports for New Release and promotional programs
  • Sellthrough reporting, analysis and recommendations
  • Provide analytical support for meetings and decisionmaking efforts:
  • Using data driven insights to help the customer team identify profitable, incremental, sales opportunities and/or opportunities for greater efficiency
  • Preparation for buy meetings, sales meetings, business reviews, etc.
  • Provide sellthru, return rate, and profitability assessments
  • Provide Adhoc retail reporting and analysis for account and internal requests
  • Provide support in running the office:
  • Scheduling team events/meetings as needed
  • Monitoring and ordering inventory for office and break room supplies
  • General office upkeep such as mail room duties, scheduling repairs for general office equipment.
  • Light administration duties such as submitting invoices for approval

Qualifications:


  • 2+ years of experience in the entertainment or consumer goods industry
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, not required
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • Prior experience working with major Home Entertainment retailers preferred
  • Forecasting, analytical and financial modeling experience across a broad product portfolio
  • Ability to summarize and communicate solutions to opportunities efficiently
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Comfortable presenting ideas and concepts to varying senior levels
  • Ability to thrive in a fastpaced and rapidly evolving environment
  • Experience in cultivating relationships both internally and externally
  • Advanced Vendor Central and Microsoft Office 365 skills preferred
