    Summary:

    Reporting to the Business Lead of Transportation Initiatives with management oversight from the VP, Centre of Excellence, we are seeking a seasoned Program Manager with extensive Change Management expertise to oversee the development and implementation of strategic initiatives in our Transportation sector. You have five-plus years of Program Management experience within the Transportation and Logistics landscape, with a proven track record of successfully managing multiple transformations simultaneously (from planning, implementation, managing project teams, and evaluation of the programs); successfully leading cross-functional teams and implementing initiatives to drive positive and sustainable change with dynamic business environments; you have an outstanding mixture of interpersonal and professional communication skills; you are natural at building relationships, collaborating, and influencing a broad cross-section of stakeholders; experienced with thoughtful application of project management methodologies, and have excellent attention to detail. Your position is highly influential and will interface with Metro employees at all levels and various functions across the business.

    Responsibilities:

  • The Program Manager is responsible for developing a well-structured plan of action to support the programs from start to finish while coordinating various interrelated tasks.
  • Manage and scale the program team responsible for the Transportation strategic initiatives. The program team consists of dedicated subject matter experts in different business areas.
  • Lead the day-to-day management of the program, including creating a successful program environment, implementing best practices (governance, charters, and other establishing documents, etc.), and supporting the strong partnerships necessary to maintain them over time.
  • Ensure that the program's state is running smoothly by connecting with teams to identify any risk mitigation or improvement opportunities.
  • Responsible for managing budgets, resources, and prioritization across the program.
  • Build strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead design sessions and cross-team collaboration.
  • Be aware of impacts on the progress or outcome of the program and related projects, and take corrective actions to reduce or manage risks in the program.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to ensure client expectations and project timelines are met.
  • Refine and optimize the program management model to reduce risk impact, such as establishing communication channels and reporting methods, identifying goals, and establishing priorities across the entire program.
  • Support decision-making through cadence meetings with decision-makers, compiling background information on needed decisions, or comparative analysis of multiple options.
  • Facilitate knowledge transfer of systems and process ownership to operations and other impacted teams.
  • Collect, record, and analyze project data and develop insightful reports for top management.
  • Develop and execute comprehensive change management plans, including stakeholder analysis, communication strategies, and training programs, to ensure smooth transitions during organizational changes.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess the impact of proposed changes, identify potential resistance, and proactively address challenges, fostering a culture of adaptability and resilience.
  • Facilitate and lead change management workshops, communication sessions, and training modules to empower employees at all levels, promoting awareness, understanding, and engagement throughout the change process.
  • Requirements:

  • 5+ years leading teams in transformation, change management, technical integration, and implementation of project management functions.
  • Track record of overseeing large transformation programs and timely delivering quality projects.
  • Excellent in building strong working relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Extensive leadership experience working with large teams.Exceptional communication and presentation skills – experience engaging with executives.
  • Customer-facing experience with large enterprise clients.Ability to understand complex solutions and explain them simply and precisely to both a technical and business user is a must.
  • Experience leading growing teams through a hands-on and collaborative approach to management.
  • A strong understanding of integrations, business processes, or technology designs.
  • Experienced in Transportation, Supply Chain and Logistics.
  • Experienced in Lean and/ or Six Sigma is a bonus.
  • Proven facilitation, negotiation, and influential skills.
  • Flexible and self-driven in a fast-paced environment.
  • Capable of multi-tasking, highly organized, with excellent time management skills.
  • Software expert (TMS, MS office, Smartsheet, Lucidchart - visio, etc.).
  • Ability to travel.
