- This role is responsible for the leadership, strategic development and implementation of a comprehensive, creative and impactful communications and marketing strategy for the BB4CK community. This work aligns with every other area of the organization, bringing engaging and fitting communications tactics to every priority that is part of our work. This leader has the primary responsibility, with their team, for stewardship of BB4CK's brand and reputation.

Leadership
- Contribute to the overall organizational strategy and direction
- Act as a support to the organization overall
- Supervise and support the Communications Coordinator(s), including role identification and recruitment when required
- Build infrastructure and tools that support the success of the Communications team
Communications
- Develop and execute comprehensive communication and marketing (including social media) strategies aligned with the organization's goals, budget and mission.
- Collaborate with other teams to centralize marketing & brand with broader organizational goals.
- Maintain and strengthen the brand identity, ensuring consistent messaging and visual representation across all marketing materials
- Build and maintain positive relationships with media outlets, influencers and partners to secure media coverage and partnerships.
- Build and maintain relationships with community partners and supporters,
- Analytics and reporting, monitor marketing performance using analytics tools, prepare board reports and internal reporting.
- Budget management: manage the marketing budget effectively, ensuring costefficient use of resources.
- Promote the organization's campaigns, programs, initiatives
- Represent and speak on behalf of BB4CK at external events and online
Education & Experience
- 57 years midlevel experience working with a team and 12 years leading a team
- 3+ years experience in communications
- Experience or interest in nonprofit organizations, community development and/or food insecurity
- Working knowledge of computers, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Publisher, Outlook mail)
- Some skills around graphic design, video and/or photography (willing to train, but some grounding is helpful)
