We are looking for a passionate and resourceful person to join our team on a contract basis and offer best in class service as an Assistant Underwriter on our Commercial Insurance team.

Summary of Role & Responsibilities:

Maintain the Commercial mailbox to ensure accurate updating of the New Submission and Outstanding Documents Logs
Order inspections
Prepare Experience Letters
Review Certificates of Insurance
Operate department phone queue
Other duties as assigned

Necessary Knowledge, Skills and Attributes:

Ability to handle large volume of transactions and to meet defined service levels
Selfmotivated, detail oriented and innovative
Exceptional phone etiquette with strong communication skills (written & verbal)
Proficient in Microsoft Office products
Must be flexible with hours of work as required

Education and Experience:

Experience in the Insurance Industry an asset
CIP designation or working towards it an asset
