Description

The Corporation of the City of Cornwall is seeking a temporary spare Coach Attendant for Cornwall Transit.

The Coach Attendant is Responsible for the daily routine maintenance of all transit vehicles and facility, including performing minor mechanical repairs.

The Coach Attendant is responsible in ensuring the proper execution of the following:

Perform daily routine maintenance of all Transit vehicles and facility
Perform minor mechanical repairs as necessary
Fuel all Transit vehicles of a daily basis
Clean all Transit vehicles as part of a regular schedule
Clean all Transit vehicle Engines, Transmission and batteries on a regular schedule
Check all oil, coolant and battery levels on a regular schedule
Remove Cash vaults for the fare boxes and transport them to the city cash handling room on a daily basis
Maintain cleanliness of storage area floor and bus wash
Make coach changeoffs when required
Responsible to replace utility person in their absence
Perform other related duties as required

Required Qualifications & Experience

Possess and be capable of maintaining a valid M.T.O. Class "D" driver's license with a "Z" endorsement
Capable of taking and maintaining WHMIS and First Aid Training
Comprehend and interpret verbal and written instructions
Must be able to work shifts
Be able to work with mínimal supervision

The City of Cornwall offers a sector competitive wage at $24.52 per hour. A minimum of 20 hours up to 40 hours per week.
