The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate fantastic communication and interpersonal skills that will contribute to the efficient day-to-day administration of our Clinic.
Medical Receptionist Responsibilities:
- Welcomes patients and visitors by greeting patients and visitors, in person or on the telephone.
- Schedule appointments, liaise between medical departments with discretion and professionalism
- Comforts patients by answering patients' questions within scope
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records.
- Ensure completion thirdparty forms and invoices.
- Be familiar with various medical office tests required and the booking procedures
- Communicate and assist other medical offices and pharmacies in providing your patient the care needed
- OHIP Billing
- Protects patients' rights by maintaining confidentiality of personal health information.
- Maintain confidentiality of all doctors, staff, and patient information.
Medical Receptionist Requirements:
- Medical Office or Ward Secretary Certificate (essential).
- Experience in a medical receptionist role is preferred
- Accuro EMR experience an asset
- Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to multitask.
- Strong organizational, administrative, and planning skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and react effectively
- Ability to use discretion while working with sensitive information.
- Excellent documentation, communication, and IT skills.
- Passionate about healthcare excellence.
- Fully vaccinated against COVID19 (2 doses plus 14 days) or a valid medical exemption.
