Description

Envision Cold is seeking an experienced leader for the position of Warehouse Operations Manager. To join our growing team, please review the list of responsibilities and qualifications.

Job Responsibilities (including but not limited to):

Oversee receiving, shipping, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance operations.
Manage a team of Warehouse Supervisors and Associates, including performance, training, development and scheduling.
Continually observe activity, engage with staff and assist with operations in the facility.
Create and maintain an environment that is conducive to teamwork and collaboration.
Identify inefficiencies in the facility and work collaboratively with staff and leaders towards a resolution.
Control inventory levels by conducting physical counts and reconciliation with WMS.
Assist Management in assessing and analyzing budgets to find ways to optimize profitability.
Ensure products are being handled, stored, and managed in accordance with all Province and Federal regulations.
Adhere to all warehousing, handling, and shipping legislation requirements.
Create and uphold standard operating procedures for staging product in coolers and freezers.
Review inventory to monitor occupancy levels.
Adhere to all safety related procedures and work with Supervisors and Associates to ensure a "safety first" work environment.
Process all accidents in a timely manner and record all work incidents/near misses as appropriate.

Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years' experience managing warehouse operations and staff, ideally in Cold Storage
Highly proficient with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
Expertise in warehouse management procedures and best practices
Thorough understanding of CFIA and HACCP highly preferred
Strong understanding of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Experience with Food Safety requirements and responsibilities
Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
Flexibility with schedule to support business needs (early AM, late PM and some Saturdays if needed)
Forklift experience highly preferred
Comfortable working in extremely cold temperatures while wearing personal protective equipment and freezer gear
Able to lift and maneuver a minimum of 18kgs (40 lbs)
