We are currently seeking high quality Weiler Machinists with a proven track record of excellent efficiency and accuracy.

Afternoon
Afternoon Shift Hours : 3:20 pm - 1:50 am, Monday - Thursday.

Goals and Key Result Areas:
- To manufacture parts in accordance with supplied drawings and standards
- To program (If required), set up and operate Controlled Cycle machine tools.
- To accurately measure parts and to ensure a high level of Quality Control on all parts manufactured.
Responsibilities and Key Tasks:
Qualifications:
- Create programs at the machine tool as required to produce parts to drawing specifications.
- Set up machine tools to produce parts as directed using routings or as directed from Supervisor.
- Prove out program, set up and obtain first off part.
- Adjust offsets within machine tools to produce sizes within drawing tolerances
- Show and use a high level of initiative in solving machining problems.
- Perform daily maintenance and cleaning of machine tools.
- Record quantities produced accurately.
- Keep track of any identification numbers associated with manufactured parts.
- Keep track of the total number of parts required, the amount produced at any given time, and the amount of material available for remaining parts.
- Maintain accurate records of dimensions from parts produced when required.
- 100 percent of all measurable dimensions.
- Comply with all HSE, QMS and Corporate policies at Norquest.
- Performs other duties as assigned by a Supervisor.
- To train/mentor other employees within the department when required.
- Knowledge and experience of setting and operating Controlled Cycle machine tools (Weiler / VDF).
- Mechanical aptitude, ability to identify and use wrenches and other tools correctly and effectively.
- Ability to measure parts using suitable measuring instruments to a high degree of accuracy (±0.0005")
- Knowledge and/or experience of adjusting offsets to produce parts to drawing sizes and tolerances.
- Reasonable degree of numeracy and literacy minimum grade 10 high school.
- Team player, good ability to get along well with coworkers.
- Excellent time management skills.
Pay:
$35.00-$50.00 per hour
Schedule:
- 10 hour shift
- Night shift
