- Provide exceptional service for both members and guests
- Supervise the day to day operations and Golf Shop staff to ensure high quality performance
- Oversee the daily retail operation including receiving new products and inventory control
- Reconcile daily tee sheets, perform check-ins, and receive payments from members and guests.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of retail shop and storage spaces.
- Play and promote the game of golf with various cross sections of the membership
- Represent the club in a professional manner
- Strong customer service skills.
- Experience in golf shop organization and management, as well as tournament and league organization preferred.
- Knowledge of golf rules, back shop services, golf cart maintenance and driving range operations.
- Knowledge of golf apparel and equipment.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities.
- Must be available to work flexible hours to meet operational needs.
- Knowledge of Jonas P.O.S. and Microsoft Office Suite would be an asset.
- PGA Member or Applicant for Membership in the PGA of Canada preferred.

Southwood was established in 1894 and moved in 2011 alongside the meandering LaSalle River. The 18 hole course was designed by renowned Canadian Architect Thomas McBroom to the highest standards. Our new location has already hosted the Men's Canadian Amateur, the Canadian University Golf Championships, Canada Summer Games, and is now the home of the PGA Tour America's Manitoba Open. Location Southwood Golf & Country Club - Winnipeg, MB Posted Deadline Job Summary Southwood Golf & Country Club is currently seeking a qualified Apprentice, Assistant or Associate Golf Professional or an individual who is considering becoming an Applicant with the PGA of Canada. Reporting to the Head Golf Professional, the successful candidate will assist in administering all daily operations including, but not limited to: operating POS system, managing tee sheet applications, facilitating sales and merchandising, and maintaining excellent service to achieve member and guest satisfaction.
