Junior Legal Assistant for a dynamic and friendly law firm in downtown Ottawa.


Looking for a junior tech savvy team member who is energetic, positive and versatile, who enjoys new challenges and who is comfortable working both independently and as part of a team to join an established, busy trademark law practice.

Previous experience in trademark law is an asset but not a requirement. Recent grads will be considered. Will be a focus on training for long-term success. Attention to detail is a key skill.


Specific duties following training include:

  • Preparation and filing of responses to Examiner's Reports and other correspondence with the Canadian Trademarks Office;
  • Maintaining database and diary systems, including ensuring all deadlines are met;
  • Preparation and sending of client correspondence;
  • Scanning and saving correspondence received; and
  • Preparation and forwarding of invoices.
Competitive salary based on experience.


Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$40,000.00-$50,000.00 per year


Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
