Description:
The Relief Linehaul Driver drives to/from customer locations and safely operates company vehicles (e.g., tractor-trailers, 5-ton vehicles, shunt trucks, etc.) and material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.) to pick up and deliver freight to/from customer locations and meet service level agreements.
Covers driving routes and pickups / deliveries for Linehaul Drivers and Linehaul Drivers Pickup & Delivery, which may be in any shift.
Responsibilities:
Drive to/from customer locations and safely operate company vehicles (e.g., tractor-trailers, 5-ton vehicles, shunt trucks, etc.) and material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, forklifts, etc.)
Resolves problems as they arise while on the road in collaboration with Dispatch
Picks up, delivers, and loads/unloads freight at customer locations
Scans freight upon pickup and delivery
Conducts vehicle inspections (tractor - 20-minute pre-trip, 15-minute post-trip; trailer - 15-minute pre-trip per trailer)

Completion of High School
Experience:
Additional Work Related Program Up To One Academic Year of Duration, Course or courses specific to occupational area, Often courses result in certificate in occupational specialty
Class 1 driver's license with a clean driving record
3 years of Class 1 driving experience
