Minimum qualifications:


  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience in risk management, audit, or compliance programs in organizations with a contingent workforce.
  • Experience in identifying and assessing risks, and designing and testing controls.
  • Experience in developing risk, control, or compliance frameworks.

Preferred qualifications:


  • CPA/CIA/CCEP/ RIMS-CRMP or related certification.
  • Ability to navigate through ambiguity, manage and coordinate multiple project assignments simultaneously in a fastpaced, deadlinedriven environment, accepting ownership and accountability of the process and delivering on commitments.
  • Ability and willingness to take initiative to address problems and make continuous process improvements.
  • Ability to take charge, interact with all levels, set objectives, drive results, influence, and be a team player.
  • Leadership, verbal/written communication and people skills, with the ability to work with a wide variety of departments.

About the job:

- gTech's Extended Workforce Solutions (xWS) team enables PAs to effectively and efficiently scale their outsourced operations while managing risk. Our goal is to enable our businesses to make informed decisions to put the right talent in the right locations. Our partnership with teams across Google aims to provide an excellent user experience and minimize administrative burden throughout the xW process. We assist with xW planning and strategy, and provide tools to support PAs in managing their xWF infrastructure. We strike a balance between optimizing engagements and making sure xW policies and guidelines are followed.


The Risk and Compliance (R&C) team is responsible for ensuring that Google complies with all laws and regulations applicable to its contingent workforce globally.

The team does this by identifying and assessing risks, setting requirements, designing and assessing controls, ensuring governance, and conducting testing and auditing.

R&C equips, enables, and empowers team members to achieve success while protecting Google's brand and reputation.

The team is a second line of defense at Google, working with other teams to ensure that Google is compliant with all applicable laws and regulations.

Responsibilities:


  • Assess risks of regulatory requirements as they pertain to Google's contingent workforce including operational, legal, reputational, cultural, and financial risks.
  • Identify and map controls to regulatory or internal requirements and assess their adequacy in ensuring compliance. Identify control gaps, design sound, and balanced recommendations to improve compliance in partnership with management and risk partners.
  • Monitor and validate completion of business mitigation plans. Maintain inventory of controls to ensure completeness and accuracy of controls to mitigate extended workforce risks through xWS' Risk Management System.
  • Collaborate, communicate, educate and influence policy, process, and control owners throughout Google and at different levels to improve process and controls to mitigate compliance risks.
