The Opportunity:

Process owner for all environmental monitoring programs to drive both performance metric compliance and swabbing standardization across the plant network.

This role will actively work with corporate functions including:
Sanitation, Reliability, Operations and FSQATSS to ensure sanitation performance is data driven.

As a key member of corporate sanitation and the FSQATSS team, this position will be deployed for coaching, training, assessments and project work as requested.


Snapshot of a Day-in-the-Life:


  • Process Owner for all environmental monitoring programs including: EMP (Listeria), TPC (Sanitation Effectiveness), Preop (Sanitation) and Lactics (product shelf life)

Tasks include:

First point of contact for plant network support, data capture / analysis and reporting and maintaining the suite of SOPs / Share point site management.


  • Supports sanitation and food safety /quality program execution efforts throughout the plant network in a variety of activities including: coaching, training, trouble shooting and assessments. Field work is a key aspect of the role.
  • Supports strategic projects related to the sanitation strategy and the automation / modernization of data gathering and analytics.
  • Contributes to the larger FSQATSS team through related projects and assignments.

What You'll Bring:


  • 35 years of relevant business experience preferably working in quality and food safety related areas.
  • University degree in Microbiology, Food Science, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
  • Strong analytical skills to build and maintain databases.
  • Previous experience in a food plant is a definite asset.
  • Cross functional experience and/or participation on cross functional teams.
  • High degree of functional competency and technical understanding in a food safety or Quality Assurance role.
  • Effective change agent demonstrated through the ability to work with people consistent with the Leadership Edge Values to reach desired outcomes.
  • Process thinker with the ability to provide clarity of thought to a given situation.
  • Effective communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Effective computer and data systems skills including: Word, Excel, Power Point, Minitab, LIMS, SAP and PowerBI.
  • Able to manage ambiguity by offering solutions rather than presenting problems when escalating issues.
  • Strong analytical skills. Able to transform data into information and insights that "connect' with the intended audience.
  • Willing team player by helping others through support without boundaries or conditions.
  • Active learner who provides coaching and is receptive to coaching.
  • Willing and able to provide ideas / content, share knowledge, and is receptive to feedback.
  • Self starter, comfortable working independently.
  • Must be able to travel.
  • Periodic work on the sanitation shift and weekends will be required
