_ Minimum Qualifications:
_
- Degree in Planning or related discipline along with a minimum of five (5) years of related municipal planning development or policy experience.
- Supervisory and mentoring experience.
- Registered Professional Planner and current membership in the Canadian Institute of Planners and Ontario Professional Planners Institute required.
- Experience is required in circumstances where professional credibility is required (e.g. expert testimony at the OLT).
- Demonstrated excellent leadership, team building, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills including demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with all levels of the organization, members of Council, internal and external stakeholders, government bodies and members of the public.
- A creative thinker with proven analytical, problem solving, negotiation and conflict management skills that are resolution oriented.
- Selfstarter with the ability to organize work, resources, and meet multiple demands and deadlines.
- Demonstrated fiscal responsibility and experience with all aspects of budget preparation and administration.
- Strong computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Ability to travel, meet deadlines and work a flexible schedule as required.
- Demonstrated safe work practices.
_Duties:
_
- Prepares reports with recommendations for Committee and Council and memos as required.
- Provides expert witness interpretation as required at the OLT.
- Assists with City View implementation, data overview and upgrading.
- Responsible for supplementary leadership of Division staff.
- Responsible for supervising Division staff for Committee of Adjustment and Presubmission consultation meetings
- Other duties as assigned.
Salary:
$88,197-$103,194 (Grade - Under Review) 35 hours per week
