Salary: 50 000$ per year, then 53 000$ per year after the probation period

Acquired in 2018 by Tidan, this hotel is located in the heart of the Montreal metropolis.

The Marriott Château Champlain is a 1-minute walk from the metro, accessible by an underground route, adjacent to the Bell Centre and also by 1000 de la Gauchetière.

This iconic and emblematic hotel in Montreal was completely renovated in 2021, with 36 floors, 614 rooms, 13 suites, 25 meeting rooms and can accommodate up to 1000 customers.

Reporting to the director of housekeeping, the housekeeping supervisor manages the daily operations of the department (check-in/check-out/group/vip) and ensures company standards are met.

This person will work closely with the front desk and engineering department. As the industry is constantly changing, responsibilities for this position may change and evolve accordingly.


Responsibilities

  • Supervise a team of workers
  • Plan and assign tasks to employees
  • Adjust schedules based on occupancy
  • Manage inventory of cleaning and amenity products
  • Ensure rules and procedures are followed (atlific & marriott standards)
  • Participate in employee performance management
  • Ensure the health and safety of staff
  • Coordinate services with external companies/suppliers
  • Supervise and coach employees
  • Inspect rooms
  • Participate in disciplinary process
  • Ensure quality customer service and manage customer complaints

Required qualifications

  • College diploma in hotel management
  • 2 years of experience in a similar position in the hospitality industry
- experience in a unionized environment is an asset

  • Fluent in both french and english
