Below are key tasks and responsibilities for Central Kitchen staff.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

Typical daily duties includes, following and completing daily recipe checklist, food prep, prepping ingredients for FOH, portioning
Communicates clearly, quickly and politely with coworkers to ensure the correct order is served to customers
Prepares food neatly, follows recipes accurately and in a timely manner
Checks best before/expiry dates on products/ingredients and restocks items to maintain a sufficient supply during the shift following "first in, first out" product rotation
Understands and adheres to proper food handling, safety and sanitation standards during food preparation, service and clean up
Clean and maintains all areas of the work area to promote a clean image throughout the shift
Uses and completes Daily and Weekly checklists
Understands and adheres to all quality standards and procedures
Performs light paperwork duties as assigned
Performs other duties and responsibilities as requested by management

Qualifications:

Brings a cheerful and helpful attitude to work
Prior kitchen or catering experience is an asset
Works as a teammate to help where needed to get the task at hand completed
Selfmotivated and able to carry out projects selfsufficiently
Maintains a professional appearance
Is resilient and bounces back quickly from setbacks and seeks out coaching from leaders and peers to improve
Schedule flexibility that includes evenings, weekends, holidays, and nonbusiness hours
Competent in a kitchen environment
Able to move quickly
Able to lift 50lbs+
Able to stand for long periods
