Safety Supervisor and Driver Trainer

Cooney Transit Inc is currently searching for a safety supervisor and driver trainer for our Kingston location.

Safety Supervisor duties

• Ensuring that the policies and procedures are followed by the workers
• Performing accident investigations and determining the root cause
• Conducting safety orientations and training for new and existing employees
• Inspecting the workplace, tools and equipment for any safety hazards or defects
• Assisting in supervision of scheduling and day to day activities as needed
• Implementing safety, health and environmental initiatives
• Creating, maintaining and communicating safetyrelated policies and procedures

Driver and Lift truck Trainer duties

• Teach safe and defensive driving techniques to new drivers and help experienced drivers improve their skills
• Develop and implement training programs and curriculum for drivers to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations
• Conduct driver evaluations to identify areas for improvement and provide feedback to drivers on their performance
• Track and report on driver training and progress to management
• Provide support and guidance to drivers on complying with federal and provincial regulations, as well as industry best practices
• Maintain training records and documentation of driver certifications and licenses
• Schedule and conduct driver training sessions, both in the person and on the road
• Conduct refresher training for drivers on a regular basis to ensure ongoing compliance with company policies and regulations
• Keep uptodate with changes and updates to regulations and industry practices and adjust training programs accordingly.

Pay:
$50,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
