_This position is Part Time Thursday and Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm with a permanent potential for Full Time._


Skills and Qualifications:


  • Experience working with Sage DESKTOP bookkeeping software is
    REQUIRED.
  • Minimum of
    5 years of bookkeeping and payroll experience.
  • A working knowledge and understanding of bookkeeping, accounts payable principles, and payroll processing.
  • Intermediate experience with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, etc.).
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Tasks/Duties:


  • Bookkeeping Functions such as Accounts Payable (matching and coding invoices), Accounts Receivable (creation of sales invoices), Bank and Credit Card reconciliations, and Workinprogress Inventory tracking and monthly reconciliations.
  • Prepare, and review financial statements; collect, analyze, balance, and maintain account information to help maximize the accuracy of the reported numbers on a monthbymonth basis and for yearend reporting.
  • Prepare GST (monthly) returns.
  • Maintain vendor accounts with supporting documentation and reconciliation of statements.
  • Maintain financial records and filing.
  • Answering phones.
  • Additional ad hoc tasks as required.

Job Type:
Part-time

Part-time hours: 16 per week


Salary:
$22.00-$30.00 per hour


Flexible Language Requirement:

  • French not required

Schedule:

  • 8 hour shift
  • Day shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

  • Edmonton, AB: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)

Experience:

Sage Desktop: 5 years (preferred)

  • Bookkeeping: 5 years (preferred)
