Job Description:
We currently have an opening for a
Field Inspector, Surveyor in our
Victoria office.
- Surveying consisting of topographical survey, construction layout, and construction progress survey monitoring
- Construction oversight services to monitor contractor's progress, workmanship and general conformance with the contract documents
- Acting as an ambassador of the company and communicating regularly with the contractor, project managers, owners and other stakeholders throughout the evolution of a project Prepare clear and concise project reports, daily reports and other project support documentation.
You will join a dynamic team active on civil, municipal, industrial and land development engineering projects for a variety of public and private sector clients.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma in construction, civil engineering, survey technology or equivalent related experience
- 2+ years progressive experience as a qualified tradesperson in a civil construction trade is an asset
- Experience in using theodolite, level, total station and GPS equipment.
- Experience in the undertaking of field surveys, developing specifications, scheduling, cost estimating, tendering, construction, construction inspection and contract administration.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and Civil 3D is an asset.
- Project management skills are an asset
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and quality.
