Job Description:

What you'll be doing

Assigned cleaning using specified disinfecting/sanitizing agents to ensure a clean and safe environment for residents and staff.
Assists residents, when necessary, with a professional attitude, and patient approach
Sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, dusting, and polishing floors and surfaces
Adheres to established company policies and procedures regarding infection prevention and control, quality assurance, fire, and safety etc.
Notifies Manager on any damages, deficiencies, disturbances, or concerns.
Participates in staff meetings as assigned, attends in service education programs and completes all mandatory education as assigned.
Collaborates with other departments in such tasks as transferring residents, moving, ordering and storing supplies, ordering/maintenance/distribution of furniture and equipment etc.

What you bring

Ability to read and write English as well as understand verbal and written instructions in English.
Comfortable moving furniture/equipment, handling heavy items, reaching, squatting, bending, kneeling, crouching, climbing ladders, using cleaning chemicals, and exposure to wet floors.
Mentally and physically able to perform duties as outlined which includes ability to maintain regular attendance in addition to work in a very dynamic environment.
Demonstrates concern and interest in providing quality care and service for residents.
Ability to work safely, following established safety practices and procedures.
Criminal Reference Check with Vulnerable Sector Screening to be provided.
