This role is pivotal as the primary support for commercial/industrial customers, responsible for service and installation of Doors and Docks in todays every-changing market.

Our apprentice positions offers an opportunity to grow with the business and become a master technician

We have a solid backlog of work and are looking for the right team members to join our crew In this position as a Commercial Apprentice, you will learn, under the direction of your lead crew man, the areas of installing, troubleshooting and repairing commercial/industrial doors, door opening systems, gate opening systems and dock leveling systems.

This position has working conditions that expose you to various weather conditions and require you to work in a dirty, dusty, oily environment.

Responsibilities:

Assist with the service and install various products, including sectional doors, rolling doors, and high speed doors.
Assist with repair and troubleshoot defective equipment.
Assist with maintaining proper truck stock, inventory, and company vehicle.
Assist with accurate timekeeping; detailing job numbers, travel time, labeling equipment, and completing job assignments timely.
Observe lead Technician interact with customers, endusers, and general contractors courteously and professionally.
Assist with performing routine preventative maintenance.
Adhere to all safety policies and procedures.
Promote the company's operational visions, values, and goals.
Participate in training or other team activities to support ongoing continuous improvement.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager or his/her designate.

Qualifications:

Experience in rolling, high speed, and sectional doors preferred but contact us if you have some or most of the above.
Electrical experience is a plus.
Some travel required (overnight, on call)
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Class
Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to handle a physical workload.
Proficient with power tools.
Independent work capability.
Serviceoriented individual with effective written/verbal communication skills.
Comfortable working at heights.
Adaptability to a changing work environment.
Effective interpersonal skills.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Must pass background check
Basic math skills.

Working Conditions:

Must be able to work in any weather conditions (indoors/outdoors).
