**: Reporting to the controller, the accounting technician will be called upon to work closely with the controller in order to support him in daily tasks. The incumbent must be an organized person and have proven abilities to manage a high volume of information and requests from multiple actors with always the same quality of work, while respecting tight deadlines, all an autonomous way. He will have to work on several files simultaneously.


ROLE AND GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • All other related tasks
  • Conciliate sales taxes and file returns
  • Manage accounts payable
  • Participate in various special projects
  • Preparation of various financial reports
  • Prepare accounting entries
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations
  • Reconcile certain balance sheet and income statement items
  • Respond to questions from internal and external customers
  • Respond to various requests for the company's banking business

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:


  • College diploma (DEC)
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
  • Bilingualism both orally and in writing
  • Strong interpersonal skills, including a proven ability to build and maintain good rapport
  • Mastery of Word, Excel and Outlook software
  • Knowledge of Hopem software (an asset)
