Annual Salary:
$68,000 +
Education and Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Collegiate degree in HR, Business Administration or other discipline with a diploma in HR
- CHRP/CHRL (desirable)
- Minimum of 5+ years of relevant experience in an HR Generalist role
- Good communication skills (written and spoken)
- Health and safety knowledge and understanding of Ontario legislation
- Strong Knowledge of Federal and Provincial Labour laws
- Excellent organization skills, with an ability to prioritize important projects/tasks
- Interpersonal skills, team player
- Selfmotivated, strong handson work ethic
- ADP Payroll an asset
Duties and responsibilities:
- Manage day to day operations of Human Resources
- Manage the recruitment process: post jobs, screen applicants, facilitate interviews, proceed with approved job offers and carry out onboarding and orientation.
- Handle employee conflicts, exit interviews and offboarding process for resigned and terminated employees efficiently while following all company policies and procedures
- Develop and revise company polices in accordance with Labour Laws
- Stay current and ensure compliance to all applicable legislation including The Occupational Health and Safety Act, Human Rights Code and the Employment Standards Act.
- Management of WSIB cases through proactive claims management and modified return to work programs.
- Assist with the development and administration of training programs, and procedures.
- Complete full cycle ADP payroll processing for all employees
- Ensure accuracy of payroll reports, timesheets and daily attendance.
